What you need

1. The Internet or a good enyclopedia and/or atlas.

2. A scrapbook or other other way to store and present your information.

3. A printer (but only print the things you need! Store images and text together e.g in a Word document or Photoshop contact sheet.

4. Pen, pencils etc

Use your imagination! You could draw your own maps, for example, or colour printed copies.

A web quest is not a test. You need to find this information and store it

2. Find the following for each state:

a) the state flower
b) the state song
c) a famous person
d) the state capital
e) a tourist attraction

Print this map. Fill in the names of the states Rocky passes through.

Can you add the names of ten more states
without checking?


4. Becky wants to stop overnight on the journey - but she will have Rocky with her.

Find a hotel that allows dogs. Your limit is $100 dollars including breakfast.


5. Rocky will need to see a vet when he comes back to Ogden. Find one open on a Saturday.


6. Becky does not want to lose Rocky again. Someone mentioned a new 'sat nav' for dogs.
